traffic ballet
This woman, directing traffic at Eleventh Avenue and 42nd St. in Manhattan, was using her whole body to signal the drivers. She was big, graceful and full of energy. It looked like a ballet. Behind her was this green wall of a construction site.
I've always made art since I can remember. Had my first show in the local library at 12. Over the years I illustrated some books, sold some work, and had some shows, but it wasn't until I retired that I went to school and got a Master of Fine Arts. The other students knew I was older than they were, but not really how much. In fact, my painting box in which I dragged my paints to school was older than they were.
